The story
You've always dreamed of running away with the circus. Today is your shot: the ringmaster — lovely, but not easily impressed — has agreed to give you a tryout.
A gauntlet of skill challenges stands between you and a place among the acrobats and performers in the ring. Nail them, and the spotlight is yours. Fluff them, and the circus has a different role in mind: the clown's patsy. The planted crowd member. The one who gets the pie, the water, the humiliation — every single performance.
Fail, and we'll walk you through your new part in detail, so you can weigh up whether the glamour of the big top is really worth what comes with it.
How it plays
A series of skill challenges testing dexterity, timing, nerve and showmanship — the ringmaster wants performers, not passengers.
Co-operative: try out together and share the spotlight. Competitive: go head-to-head — there may only be one spot in the ring.
Feeling brave? The difficulty is adjustable. Ask the ringmaster to go easy and your odds improve; ask for the real audition and the challenges get crueller — but the bragging rights get bigger.
